We take your privacy seriously. This page explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can control it. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@burgerprime.in.
1. Who we are
Burger Prime, based in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India, is the "data controller" for the information you share through our app and website.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account
- Delivery addresses you save in your profile
- Order history (what you bought, when, where it was delivered)
- Payment method identifiers (we never see your full card number — Razorpay handles that)
- Anything you type into support chats, help requests, or feedback forms
Information we collect automatically
- Device type, operating system version, app version
- Approximate location when you tap "Use my current location" to fill a delivery address (only when you explicitly allow it — see section 4)
- Usage analytics: which screens you open, which buttons you tap, how long orders take to complete (only when Usage Analytics is ON in Settings — you can turn it off any time)
- Crash reports when the app stops unexpectedly
What we don't collect
- Your location in the background (we never track you when the app is closed)
- Your full payment card number
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or any sensor data we don't have permission for
3. How we use your information
- To fulfil your orders: passing your address and contact details to the kitchen and the delivery partner so your food arrives
- To process payments: sending the amount and order ID to Razorpay, which charges your chosen payment method
- To contact you about your order: delivery updates, confirmations, occasional operational messages
- To provide account security: Two-Factor Authentication codes, password reset links, suspicious-activity alerts
- To improve the app: understanding which features are used, which screens break, where users get stuck (only if Usage Analytics is on)
- To comply with the law: responding to court orders, tax audits, and similar legal requirements
We do not sell your data to advertisers, brokers, or any third party for marketing.
4. Location access
The app only uses your location when you explicitly tap "Use my current location" on the Add Address screen. We use it once to fill in your delivery address automatically, and we don't store your GPS coordinates — only the street address you confirm. You can revoke location permission any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Burger Prime.
5. Who we share data with
- Razorpay — to process online payments. Razorpay has its own privacy policy at razorpay.com/privacy
- Supabase — our backend provider, which stores your account, orders, and addresses securely. Supabase processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement
- Our delivery partners — your name, phone, and address are shared with the driver assigned to your order, so they can reach you
- Legal authorities — only when required by a valid court order or government request under Indian law
We never share your data with advertisers or marketing networks.
6. How we protect your data
- All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Passwords are hashed — even we can't read yours
- You can enable Two-Factor Authentication in Settings to require an email code on every sign-in
- Access to production data is limited to a small number of team members who need it for support or debugging
No system is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard practices and we patch known issues promptly.
7. How long we keep your data
- Account info and order history: as long as your account is active, plus up to 3 years after you delete your account (for accounting and tax purposes)
- Support messages: 1 year after the conversation ends
- Crash reports and analytics: up to 13 months in aggregated form
When you delete your account from Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account, we enter a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the request by signing back in. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed from our active systems, except for records we're legally required to retain.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information (most of this you can do yourself in the Profile screen)
- Delete your account and its associated data (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account)
- Object to specific uses of your data (like turning off Usage Analytics)
- Withdraw consent to optional features (like location access) at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email support@burgerprime.in with the subject "Privacy request" and we'll respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Burger Prime is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
The app doesn't use browser cookies because it's a native iOS app. We do use a small amount of local storage (UserDefaults) to remember things like your dark-mode preference, your contactless-delivery default, and your analytics opt-out — all of which live only on your device.
The Burger Prime website (burgerprime.in) may use essential cookies for sessions and preferences, but not for advertising or tracking.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify you through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
